LinkedIn outreach,on a schedule
LinkedIn sector outreach is a workflow that ships with Plexon, switched off. Give it a list of searches, "AI investor" among the defaults, and it works through a different one each day, a few people at a time: it invites, follows the people who only offer Follow, and later welcomes the ones who accepted and tells you which of them wrote back. It does this in a hidden browser window on your own signed-in account, and it stays under the limits LinkedIn users report as safe.

Related features

Set the searches and the texts once
The workflow arrives switched off. Right-click it in Workflows and choose Settings. Every run reads these values, and a field you leave empty uses its default.
- Who to look for: a list of LinkedIn people searches, like a job title and a sector. Each day uses the next one
- A campaign name, so two campaigns are counted apart
- Invitations per day, 15 by default, and per hour, 4 by default
- An optional note on each invitation, up to 300 characters
- Follow people whose profile offers Follow instead of Connect
- A welcome for people who accept, written for each person from their profile, or one text with their first name filled in
What one run does
It runs at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00 on weekdays, in your own time zone. Each run checks the allowance before anything else. When nothing is left, it posts a note saying why and ends there, without using AI.
- Starts at a random minute within the next half hour, so runs never land on the hour
- About once a day, checks who accepted and welcomes up to 5 of them
- In the same pass, reads the replies to its welcome messages in LinkedIn Messaging and sorts them into leads, recruiters, peers, asks and spam. It never answers one, and the run report names the leads
- Works through the search of the day, a few people per run
- Skips anyone it has already invited, followed or skipped
- Ends with one line: invited, followed, skipped, accepted, welcomed, replied, and invitations left this week
- Each run has its own AI spending cap

A browser window nobody has to watch
The run opens its own browser window, hidden and kept out of the taskbar. It uses the same sign-in as the browser panel, so sign in to LinkedIn there once. While it works, a strip in the Workflows panel names the workflow, with Show and Stop.
- Show brings the window to the front, with the page it is on
- Stop cancels the run and closes the window at once
- The tray menu has the same two items while a run is using the window
- Closing the window hides it; the run carries on
- The window closes by itself when the step ends
The limits it keeps
The numbers below are the ranges LinkedIn users report as safe. LinkedIn does not publish them. Settings can lower any of them, and nothing raises one past its ceiling.
- At most 20 invitations in any 24 hours, whatever the setting says
- At most 10 in any hour and 100 in any 7 days
- No new invitations while 1,400 are still waiting for an answer
- 5 invitation notes a month, the free account allowance
- Up to 30 follows a day
- Every invitation is recorded before the click, so two runs cannot invite the same person
It stops at the first sign of trouble
Nobody is at that window to answer a question, so the run never tries to get past a check. It stops and tells you what it saw.
- LinkedIn's weekly invitation limit pauses the campaign for 7 days
- A search or commercial use limit pauses it until the first of next month
- A sign-in page, a security check or a captcha pauses the run and shows you the page the browser stopped on. Sign in and approve, and the run carries on
- A request for the person's email address skips that person
- Pages outside linkedin.com are refused, and so is any address that is not https
The risk, plainly
LinkedIn's user agreement does not allow automated tools on its site. Staying under the limits lowers the chance of a restriction. It does not remove it, and the account at risk is yours. Start with lower numbers than the defaults if you are unsure.
- Its instructions for LinkedIn's pages were written from the current layout; when LinkedIn moves a button, runs may skip people until they are updated
- It needs Plexon running, open or in the tray. A computer that is asleep or off does not run it
- The record of who was invited stays in a file on your computer
How It Stays Careful
Four Runs a Weekday
At 10, 12, 2 and 4 in your own time zone, each starting at a random minute within half an hour.
Counted Before Every Click
Each invitation is checked against the day, the hour and the week before it goes. A refused one never reaches LinkedIn.
Hidden, One Click Away
The window stays out of sight and out of the taskbar. Show and Stop sit in the Workflows panel and the tray.
Only the Sites It Declares
The step lists linkedin.com and nothing else. A link or a redirect to another site is refused.
Stops at a Notice
A limit dialog pauses the campaign. A sign-in page or a check pauses the run and shows you the page it stopped on; sign in, approve, and it carries on. It never tries to get past either.
Your Account, Your Computer
It drives the LinkedIn you signed in to, from your own machine. The outreach record is a local file.
Connects to
Nothing here works alone. See the whole map for how the pieces fit together.
What feeds it
Embedded Browser requires this.
You sign in to LinkedIn once in the browser panel, and the hidden window the steps work in shares that sign-in.
Where it goes
This runs inside Dynamic Workflows.
LinkedIn sector outreach is a bundled workflow: a quota check, a random start, an acceptance sweep that also sorts the replies, and an invitation step, with its search and texts in Settings.
