What you need
Sign in with GitHub, or copy a personal connection key with access to the projects you want to use. The default connector runs on your computer.
Setup details
Sign in with GitHub once and the connector picks the account up, or paste a fine-grained Personal Access Token scoped to the repositories you want it to touch. Runs on your machine, so Docker is not needed.
The app ships two GitHub tiles. The default one runs on your machine with no Docker and covers issues, pull requests, reviews, and files. It is also the only one that drives the Approvals panel, so repository watching and drafted pull request reviews come from this tile and not the other. GitHub's official server adds Actions runs, code scanning, secret scanning, Projects v2, gists, and notifications, and runs as a Docker container, so it needs Docker Desktop installed and running. The install screen explains the differences and lets you switch.
Plexon encrypts saved passwords and connection keys on your computer.
When a task uses an online app, that app receives the request. Its results may also be sent to the AI service handling your chat. You can turn the connector on for one workspace and leave it off for another.
Two ways to connect
The default GitHub connector runs on your computer and handles issues, pull requests, reviews, and files. It also supplies repository watching and drafted reviews in the Approvals panel. The official GitHub connector adds workflow runs, code and secret scanning, project boards, gists, and notifications. That option requires Docker Desktop to be installed and running.
