What you can do

A connector lets the assistant use an app or tool for you. Once connected, ask it to work with Slack.

Catch up on channels

The assistant reads messages and threads your chosen connection can access and tells you what happened. A bot can read only channels it has joined.

Send messages

Post to a channel or reply in a thread, in your voice, after you approve the text. Sending stays off until you allow it during setup, for every channel or just the ones you list.

Find people

Look up names and roles in your workspace directory.

What you need

Use your existing Slack account by copying connection details from Slack in your browser. You can also connect an app you manage or a bot installed by a workspace admin.

Setup details

Choose Browser tokens (xoxc + xoxd), User OAuth token (xoxp), or Bot token (xoxb). Browser tokens work in personal workspaces without admin approval. A bot needs an app installed by an admin; it can only read channels it has joined and cannot search. Leave Allow sending messages off for read-only access, or enable it for all channels or a list of channel IDs.

Plexon encrypts saved passwords and connection keys on your computer.

When a task uses an online app, that app receives the request. Its results may also be sent to the AI service handling your chat. You can turn the connector on for one workspace and leave it off for another.
