App Connector · Messaging
Slack
Post updates, catch up on channels, follow threads.
Send messages, read channels and threads.
What you can do
Turn the connector on with your own account and the assistant works inside Slack.
Catch up on channels
The assistant reads messages and threads in the channels you have access to and tells you what happened.
Send messages
Post to a channel or reply in a thread, in your voice, after you approve the text.
Find people
Look up names and roles in your workspace directory.
Things you can ask
Type these in chat once the connector is on.
How you sign in
Three ways in: browser session tokens copied from Slack (work in a personal workspace, no admin needed), a user OAuth token, or a bot token installed by an admin.
Whatever the method, you do it once. Credentials are encrypted and stay on your machine; the Plexon server never sees them. Activation is per workspace, so the connector can be on for one project and off for another.
More in Messaging
Connectors stack: turn on several and the assistant moves work between them.
Connect Slack to Plexon
Install Plexon, open the Apps view, and turn on Slack, then sign in once. From then on you just ask.
