What happens in this clip

The Tools tab in Settings lists every tool with its own switch.
Each switch has three states, so a tool can be on, off, or blocked outright.
An environment picker separates production, staging and development.
The shell setting decides whether a command runs straight away or asks first.
A blocked-commands list rejects the patterns you name, with sensible defaults already in it.

Multi-Provider AI

Connect to 11 AI providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini and Fireworks AI. Use a different one for thinking than for doing, and keep each account signed in separately.

Advanced Options under AI Providers: reasoning effort, tool loading with the note that tool definitions are the largest part of a prompt, max tokens at 64000, unchecked custom temperature and Top P boxes, and a stop sequences field that takes up to four.

Model settings, only where the model accepts them

Temperature, Top P and stop sequences sit under Advanced Options on each provider. Each control appears only on models whose API takes it, with that vendor's own range and starting value, so you are never offered a setting the model would reject or quietly ignore.

Something to do while a long reply is written

When an answer has been coming for a while, a card appears under the chat: one thing you might not know about Plexon, and Blocks, a small stacking game. The game pauses when the reply lands and picks up where you left it on the next long wait, in any project, even after a restart. Turn the whole card off in one switch.

Configure web search, code search, sub-agent limits, and system command security, including whether a terminal command stops for your approval before it runs. Add desktop control by installing the Desktop Automation connector from the marketplace.

Environments

Some tools and API connections carry more than one backend: the live database and a test copy, a live site and a staging one. Whoever built the tool sets both up, so nobody types a connection string to move between them. One switch moves everything that has a second copy, and you can pin a single tool while the rest stay put.

One Switch for What Leaves Your Machine

Plexon counts installs so we know how many people run it and on which system. A random number is created on your computer and sent when it is created, once a day, and when Plexon is uninstalled. It carries no account, no file names, and nothing from your conversations. Turn it off in the same tab.
