What you can do
A connector lets the assistant use an app or tool for you. Once connected, ask it to work with shadcn/ui.
Browse the registry
Search the public component registry for the piece you need.
Add to the project
Write the component files into the React project you are working in.
Read the source
The full source for each component. Change it before you use it.
Things you can ask
Type these in chat once the connector is on.
What you need
No account is needed for the public collection. Open a project already set up to use shadcn/ui.
Setup details
Nothing to sign in to for the public registry. Run it from a project that has a components.json.
When a task uses an online app, that app receives the request. Its results may also be sent to the AI service handling your chat. You can turn the connector on for one workspace and leave it off for another.
More in Developer & cloud
Connectors stack: turn on several and the assistant moves work between them.
