Browser MCP
Automate the browser you already use.
Drive your own signed-in browser through a small extension, so pages keep your real logins.
What you can do
A connector lets the assistant use an app or tool for you. Once connected, ask it to work with Browser MCP.
Use your real browser
Acts in the tab you connect, so pages load with your existing logins and sessions.
Interact
Read page contents, click elements, and fill forms on your behalf.
Run multi-step tasks
Walk through a flow across pages while you watch it work.
Things you can ask
Type these in chat once the connector is on.
What you need
No account. Add the Browser MCP extension from the Chrome Web Store, then click Connect on the tab you want to share.
Setup details
This is the one for browsing as yourself. It drives the browser you already have open, with your logins, cookies, and real fingerprint, so sites that block automated browsers usually let it through. The limit is that a person has to connect the tab, so it cannot run on a schedule. Agent Browser opens its own window and needs nothing clicked. Chrome MCP reaches further into Chrome (tabs, history, bookmarks, network) at the cost of a helper you compile and an extension you load by hand. Playwright is the one for end-to-end tests. The install screen explains the differences and lets you switch.
When a task uses an online app, that app receives the request. Its results may also be sent to the AI service handling your chat. You can turn the connector on for one workspace and leave it off for another.
Four browser connectors
Browser MCP uses the browser you already have open and its existing logins. You must connect the tab yourself, so it cannot start on a schedule. Agent Browser can run while you are away. Chrome MCP adds more Chrome controls with extra setup, and Playwright is suited to testing websites.
More in Browser
Connectors stack: turn on several and the assistant moves work between them.
