Where Cursor is the better choice
You want an editor
Cursor is a fork of VS Code. Plexon is not an editor at all and has no ambition to be one. If most of your day is inside a file, that is the whole answer.
Completion in the buffer as you type
Predictive multi-line edits while you type are a first-class Cursor feature. Plexon has no equivalent and is not trying to.
Your team already standardised on it
Shared rules files and one editor across a team are worth more than any single capability either tool has.

Cursor starts free and its individual paid plan is $20 a month. Plexon starts at $39.
Which one do you actually want?
Pick Cursor if
- Your work is mostly editing code in a repository.
- You want AI completion inside the buffer while you type.
- You already have an editor workflow you like and want it smarter.
Pick Plexon if
- The work spans your apps, not just your repository: a spreadsheet, an inbox, a CRM, a document.
- You want something to run on a schedule while you are not there, and tell you what happened.
- You want the result on a board somebody else can look at.
- Your conversations and files should stay on your machine.
- You want to hand a configured setup to other people as one installable thing.

You can use both
Most people who use both keep Cursor open for the editing and reach for a desktop assistant for the work that is not editing. They are not competing for the same hour of your day.
