Plexonaki

Drag a file, a folder, an image, some selected text or a link onto the creature. A small menu names what you handed it ("A PDF: quarterly.pdf") and offers two or three things to do with it, picked from what it is: Summarize or Pull the key facts for a document, Review it or Find the bugs for code, Chart it for a spreadsheet, Reply to this for text. Pick one and a new chat runs it while the pet carries the job in its bubble.

• When a recent chat was about the same file or site, a "Continue in" chip picks that chat up instead
• A free-text line takes anything the chips do not cover
• The bubble reads "On it" while the reply runs and "Done" when it lands; click it to read the reply beside the pet while Plexon stays where it was
• Alt+Shift+H hands it whatever is on the clipboard, from any app
• The menu is a table, not a model call, so it opens the moment you let go

Pick Playful, Calm, Clingy, Shy or Curious, or move five sliders and give it up to three traits (punny, dry humour, night owl, Greek at heart). Say its name and ask, or click the creature and type; it answers in its speech bubble, thinking out loud as it works, and speaks the reply. Ask how it feels, or ask it for the biggest file in your Downloads: it answers in character, names your real recent chats, and uses Plexon's tools to do the work. Double-click it to open the conversation in its own chat window.

• Ask what is on your screen, or to finish something in an app: turning the pet on installs Desktop Automation, and it works there in the background
• Pick Ask in the chat window's mode selector when it should only look, never write
• Ask it to play you a song and it writes one and plays it; click the bubble to stop
• Its conversation never shows in your chat list and clears after two quiet hours
• A short diary: one line a day, in its own words, about what it saw you do, plus a weekly recap
• The diary stays on your machine and never reaches a chat; only the pet reads it
• Talking to it out loud is the default: Always listening keeps the microphone open while the pet is on and its name starts the conversation; Push to talk starts one from a click on the creature or the voice shortcut; Off keeps it to typing. Set it in Settings or its right-click menu; they are the Speech tab's own wake phrase and shortcut switches
• Every utterance is heard on your computer first; only a question addressed to the pet goes to transcription, and the conversation closes itself after a quiet spell
• Turning the pet on turns speech to text and text to speech on for it, with Plexon Voice (High fidelity on Premium)
• Speak replies, in Settings or its right-click menu, reads its own lines with your text-to-speech engine and voice
• A pet from before keeps its growth, gets the default personality, and says hello once

A playful, curious pet chats now and then; a shy, calm one hardly at all. Everything beyond that is a switch, off by default: a greeting when your day starts and when you come back, a stretch after fifty minutes at the desk, water every ninety, a word when three or more approvals wait, one goodnight late in the evening, and an offer to take a download that just finished. Low battery and a long tool run ending get a line too.

• Never while a reply is running, never over unsent text in the composer, never more than once in ten minutes
• After ten minutes away it goes quiet, apart from the goodnight
• The Downloads folder is watched only while that switch is on; click the bubble and the file gets the usual menu
• Every line is a short template in its own voice, not a model request, and none of them counts what you missed

Its eyes follow your pointer. Turn on Let it roam and it gets up too: after a while it sits on the top edge of the window you are working in, steps aside when you type in a window it covers, and walks over to the app Plexon is working in (opening Notepad, clicking in a page) to point at it, then walks back. Throw it with a quick drag and it lands with a bounce.

• It never chases the pointer, and it stops when you move the pointer close to it
• Still while you drag it, while its chat window is open, and when Stay here is ticked in its menu
• It hides while a film, a game or a presentation fills the main screen
• Seeing windows for roaming uses the Desktop Automation connector, which the pet installs for itself; that private view never reaches the chat model

The pet sits over your other windows and changes with the assistant. It gazes up while it thinks, works with a small prop that matches the tool (a page for files, a globe for the web, a terminal for commands, a browser, angle brackets for code, an envelope for messages), and does a small hop when the reply lands.

• Thinking, working, reply ready, error, listening and speaking each have their own animation
• A speech bubble names the work while it runs: Thinking, Reading and writing files, Searching the web, Running a command
• A question or approval waiting on you bounces with a badge until you answer
• A failed turn ends face down with stars, so a miss is visible from across the room
• Reduced motion shows a still frame with the same badges

It starts as an egg and hatches after your first few replies. Finished replies, tool calls, workflows, journal entries and new skills earn points, capped per day so one heavy day does not skip stages. Levels bring a scarf, glasses, headphones, a laptop and a crown.

• Five stages: egg, hatchling, young, grown, elder
• A daily cap keeps growth steady over weeks rather than hours
• A streak counts the days in a row, with one missed day a week forgiven
• Reset growth from Settings when you want to start over; the name stays

Fullness falls slowly when nothing happens, and the lowest the pet ever gets is sleepy. It yawns, dozes off and perks up on your first reply. There is nothing to lose, nothing dies, and no line ever tells you what you missed.

• Any reply feeds it; a finished workflow feeds it more
• Energy drains during long busy stretches and comes back while idle
• Mood comes from fullness, energy and the streak: radiant, happy, content, bored or sleepy
• The hint always says what you can do next, never what you did not do

Say its name to ask it something, or left-click and type; the answer comes in its bubble, and a double-click opens the conversation in its chat window. Right-click for Talk, Hand over the clipboard, Ask Plexon in a new chat, Pet, Play and Feed (each with a cooldown, so clicking is not a shortcut), Rename, Personality, Voice, Snap to Plexon, Stay here (while roaming), Hide, Open Plexon and Settings. Ask it to do something and it says "On it" and runs the job in a chat of its own; with "Let it glance at the front window" on, it offers to look at an error that stays on your screen.

• Drag it anywhere on any monitor; it remembers its spot
• Snap to Plexon parks it on the main window's corner and it follows the window
• Click a "Reply ready" bubble to open that chat
• Alt+Shift+P hides and shows it, and turns it on when it is off

The pet is its own window, so it stays while Plexon is out of the way. Turning it on parks Plexon in the tray at once and lets the creature off the window, and with the pet on, closing or minimizing Plexon parks the window instead of quitting; the tray icon, the pet's menu or a click on one of its bubbles bring it back. It hides behind the sign-in screen, the app lock and the screenshot picker, and everywhere but the creature itself it is click-through.

• Three sizes and a transparency slider; it turns solid whenever you point at it or it works. Speech bubbles and short sounds are each a switch
• A long task looks different from a short one: it settles in, then paces, sweats a little, glances up, sighs and stretches
• Bubbles read "Reply ready", "Waiting for you", "Level 4!" or the pet's name when it hatches
• Ask the assistant "how is my plexonaki" or "feed my pet" and it uses the plexon_pet tool
• Growth is stored on your machine, survives a fresh install and travels in your backup
