Drafts
Write it, review it,make it yours
Drafts are the pages, documents, and files Plexon creates for you. Ask for a report from your notes or a page for your business. It opens beside the chat, where you can request changes, compare saved versions, and keep the one you like.
What happens in this clip
- Ask for three homepage directions and say to keep them as drafts beside the chat.
- Three real pages come back side by side in a pane. The project files are untouched.
- Pick one and the assistant develops that one further.
- Every change after that is a new version, with the earlier ones a click away.
- The wand opens the page in the built-in browser, where you click the headline and say what to change.
Related features
Read your work beside the conversation
Ask “Write a report from these notes” and the draft opens beside the chat. Keep reading while you ask for changes. The panel lists the drafts from this conversation and opens automatically when the first one is ready.
- Preview pages, read documents, and open other files
- Close the panel when you want more room for the conversation
- Open the current version in its folder or another editor
- Use Save as to keep a separate copy
Compare versions before you choose
Say “Make the introduction shorter” and the revised document appears as a new version. Switch back to see the previous draft or choose Compare with previous to see the differences. Saved versions remain available after you restart Plexon.
- Move between versions using the strip above the draft
- Keep up to twenty versions of each draft; the oldest are removed as new ones arrive
- Return to an earlier version and continue from there
Try a few directions side by side
Ask for a few page designs and Plexon can show two to four alternatives together. Select the one you prefer and choose Use this one. Further edits become new versions of that choice.
- Each alternative has a name and a live preview
- Select a card, then confirm your choice with Use this one
- In Telegram and Slack, the choices arrive as a numbered list
Point to what you want changed
For a page, choose Edit with AI to open a copy in the browser beside the chat. Select the heading, image, or other part you mean and describe the change. The updated page appears as a new version.
- Continue in the conversation that created the page
- The version you started from stays available
- Rename a draft without losing its history
- Deleting a draft removes all its saved versions
Save the finished document as a PDF
When you are happy with a document or page, choose Save as PDF from the draft panel or its card in the chat. Plexon saves the version you are looking at, ready to send to someone else.
- Review the document before exporting it
- Save documents and pages as PDFs
- Other file types keep their original format
Choose how long to keep drafts
Draft files and their saved versions live on your computer. By default, Plexon removes drafts that have not been used for ninety days when it starts. Change that period in Settings, or choose to keep them indefinitely.
- Drafts in an open chat are kept even after ninety days
- Use Save as for a separate copy you want to keep
- Local storage does not change how your selected AI service handles requests
